CLOUDS

clouds

High up om the top floor of the skyscraper designed by Hadi Teherani, the highest restaurant in Hamburg floats some 105 m above the city. The panorama from here reaches far south the River Elbe, stretching as far as Süllberg to the west, with close-up views overlooking the port, Spielbudenplatz, Heiligengeistfeld and Michel tower.

In-house cocktail creations, first-class champagne and a large selection of international fine wines all grace the bar menu, tempting diners to try an aperitif or digestif. As a group from the so-called kitchen table, there is a good view into the kitchen. Snacks can be eaten anywhere in the bar – whilst enjoying views out to the south and east, of course.

The restaurant features various seating levels, making sure that everyone has a perfect outlook from each of the 105 dining seats. Under the management of the head chef Eric Kroeber, the clouds team serve heavenly meat and rotisserie creations inspired by traditional European cuisine with a touch of French cooking.

The oak tabletops and ergonomic chairs upholstered in tanned leather with a “used” look, produced by the furniture makers Wagner, help to create an upmarket and cosy atmosphere throughout. Sensational sound is guaranteed in clouds, thanks to a BOSE system featuring 30 individually adjustable loudspeakers.

Many dishes, such as the beef tartare, are individually prepared at your table. The “3 hours organic egg”” or the Dry aged Entrecôte on the bone from 700 g are just some of the highlights!

Rooftop terrace heaven’s nest

The roof terrace known as heaven’s nest on the 24th floor is the highest open-air club in the city. By day it impresses with sensational views, and come evening it transforms into the place to be for partygoers.

Light lounge furniture with fine outdoor covers, bar tables with bar stools set around the Moët Ice Champagne Bar, cosy seat groupings and exclusive daybeds fill the south tower of Hadi Teherani’s architectural creation.

Glazed side-walls of four metres in height shield the majority of the wind 100 metres up in the sky, making for a balmy oasis in the sunshine after work. Snacks as bar food in the style of clouds are available from midday through to late in the night.

The 22nd floor is due for completion in the spring of 2015. The clouds restaurant will then be offering additional space for meetings and events.

  • heaven’s nest: capacity for 150 (standing and seating)
